TEHRAN – A troupe led by director/writer Erfan Khallaqi is performing “Omophagia” based on several Greek myths at Tehran’s Da Theater.

The monologue, which is being performed by Saman Mahdavi, will be on stage until September 28, Khallaqi told the Persian service of Honaronline on Tuesday.

Omophagia is a large element of Dionysiac myth which means the eating of raw flesh that may have been the symbol of the triumph of wild nature over civilization.
